What the data holds
Every dataset family has a plain description and practical uses, with a link to the provider’s own documentation for fields, years and geography.
DATASETS, BY PROVIDER
Public data sources and commercial data platforms, with the datasets each one publishes: what the data holds, what it’s useful for, and the provider’s own conditions for access, with the steps to sign up or apply where that is needed.

SERVICE APIS · NOT DATASETS
Hosting, generation, messaging, payment and account-management services are tools, not datasets, so they are not counted above. Each vendor sets its own access and pricing.
FROM SOURCE TO ACCESS
Each provider shows two numbers: how many dataset families are described here, and how many the provider itself publishes. Where a provider states no total, the page says so.

“Listed here” counts the families on this page. “Provider’s catalog” is the provider’s own count, with its source and date. A count that isn’t published isn’t guessed.
Open, free sign-up, eligibility or paid, with the steps and limits from official pages. Platform and commercial data is labelled as such. A dataset with different conditions from its provider says so in its own row.
Access terms were read on the date shown and the provider remains the authority. Free or public data is not necessarily open source or free to redistribute.
